Personal:

I'm married with four children. Graduated from Weber State University and University of Utah College of Law. I'm a criminal defense attorney in Ogden, Utah. I started running in 2004 when I was 35. Up until that time I hadn't run more than a mile at any one time and it had been years since I had done that. It was getting hard to find guys my age to play basketball with and I needed something to stay active. I signed up for the five mile portion of the Canyonlands half marathon in Moab. It was in March and I started running the end of January. The week before the race I completed my first four miler and it about killed me. I finished the race the next week in just under 46 minutes but I was hooked. I've been running fairly regularly since then.

Ran with Ben, Quentin and Sean.  We left Albertsons in South Ogden and ran to Weber State.  Got on the trail above the stadium and started climbing.  My right calf cramped up and I had to walk most of the way up.  Finally topped out and had spectacular views of Ogden as we ran along the trail.  Made our way over to Rainbow Garden and then got on the Ogden River path and ran down to Peak Performance.  Once we hit the river trail we decided to temp it.  I ran miles 9 and 10 in 7:33 and 7:34. I felt pretty strong but ran out of gas towards the end.  Overall, a great run.
