Left Todd's house and ran down Chambers to Golden West.  Got onto Washington and took that to 40th.  Ran over to Adams and then up to Burch Creek and then back to Todds. Downhill the first half and uphill the second.  Felt pretty beat from Saturday's long bike ride.

Ran in 've been doing a lot of biking and swimming and very little running lately and my legs felt really good.  I had to hold back from really pushing it hard.  Settled into a nice 8 minute pace for most of the run.

Todd and I ran from Albertson's in S. Ogden down Eastwood to Combe and then down to lower Uintah, ran over to S. Weber Dr. and took it to Riverdale.  In Riverdale got on the trail that runs along the Weber River and took that to 31st.  Legs felt great.  Probably pushed it too hard most of the run and really broke down the last mile.

Ran with Mike and Bill Schuffenhauer today.  We met at Rainbow Gardens and  began climbing up to the bonneville Shoreline trail.  It was about two miles of climbing and I was surprised at how strong I felt.  got up top and continued southward.  Went up Taylor's canyon a ways and eventually ended up back on the Bonneville Shoreline trail and back at Rainbow Gardens.  Did 7 total.

I ran the sixth leg of the Wasatch Back. It was fairly warm when I started my run, but nothing like the last two years. I picked up towards the top of Avon and ran down into Eden to the the first major exchange. I definitely went out too fast as the first mile and a half was a pretty significant climb. I then ran out of gas towards the end. The miles are as follows

1. 8:17

2. 8:31

3. 6:40

4. 6:47

5. 7:46

6. 8:28

I started tge second leg at 12:37 a.m. I was feeling pretty good after the first run and not tired yet, but was facing a pretty good climb from Morgan up to East Canyon Reservoir. I decided to get into a steady pace and try to stay around an 8 minute pace. I managed to do that for a while, but the steep climb up the damn about did me in. 1. 7:37 2. 8:14 3. 8:17 4. 8:27 5. 8:24 6. 8:49 7. 10:55 .94 8:52

I started the third and final leg the next morning at 10:43.  I had had about two hours of sleep but didn't feel too bad.  I felt like I had some 7 minute miles in me.  Unfortunately that wasn't quite the case.

1. 7:21--I was laboring way too hard for a 7:21

2. 7:55--I hit a red light at a busy intersection on Main Street in Heber City with no control.  It cost me at least 45 seconds.

3. 7:50--Just get this over with.

.23 1:48

Wow, the Wasatch Back really took a toll on my legs.  I finally got out and could only do three with a fair amount of walking mixed in.

Ran with Sean up in Island Park. We left our cabin and went down to Cowan Road and then to Yale-Kilgore. Turned East and went down over the bridge a ways and then turned and went back the same way. Felt much better today. Kicked it in the last two miles and felt pretty good.

Todd came down and we left my house and went up Jefferson to Burch Creek and then across Washington at St. Joes and down through S. Ogden and then the long way around Wash. Terrace.  Kicked it in after the first two miles uphill.  Had a 7:10 mile and most around 7:30.  Felt really good after I got the hills out of the way.
