St. George Marathon (26.2 Miles) 03:29:38 | | St. George Marathon--I ran it in 3:29:38. My goal was under 3:30 and I barely made it. Awesome experience. This was my first St. George marathon and it was incredible. I felt great until mile 23. Until that point I thought I'd get in under 3:25. The last couple of miles were rough, but I hung on and got my 3:30 goal. | Comments(6) |
| | This was my first run since St. George. I ran two and a half miles at a slow pace in Spanish Valley outside of Moab. My legs were pretty sore. | Add Comment |
| | I ran on the trails above Ogden with Anthony, John and Shannon. A lot of uphill. My legs felt much beter today and the trail work felt good. | Add Comment |
| | I ran three miles in my neighborhood at a 9:00 minute pace. My legs are still a little sore. The first mile was a little rough, but I felt much better on miles 2 and 3. I'm holding the mileage down this week to make sure I've recovered okay. Next week I'll start to increase my runs to five miles. | Add Comment |
| | I ran three and a half on Bonneville's track with my wife. I changed the pace every couple of laps between a slow jog and a race pace run. | Add Comment |
| | I ran a three mile loop in my neighborhood. I ran it at about a 7:50 pace. It was the first time since St. George that I've ran that pace for an extended period. It felt good. My legs were a little sore but they're starting to feel better. | Add Comment |
| | I ran with Todd tonight. the first two miles was mostly up hill with the last 2 3/4 down hill or flat. We maintained a 8:45 pace the first two miles and then dropped down to about 7:45 for the last three miles. My legs are definitely starting to feel better. I feel like I'm ready to resume my regular running pace and distances. | Add Comment |
| | I ran in Morgan with Todd and Kaycie. Perfect running weather today. We started on a dirt road for the first three miles. It got pretty muddy so we turned around and ran the last 2 and a half on the pavement. Ran a 9 minute pace on the dirt, and then dropped down to between 7:30 and 8 minute miles on the pavement. My legs felt a little heavy today. | Comments(1) |
| | I ran with Todd the loop from Peak Performance to the hospital and then down the toll road, through lower Uintah and then up Combe and back to Peak Performance. We maintained a steady 8 minute pace for the first 6 miles. Mile 7 is a steep uphill and I let Todd go. I ran mile 7 in 10:42. Once we got on top we ran a 7:30 pace for the last mile and a half. Overall, a good, fairly difficult run. | Add Comment |
