I ran with Todd and Sean.  We left Peak Performance and ran up to Weber, then to Mt. Ogden and over to 20th.  Dropped down to Rainbow Gardens and then took the Ogden River trail down to Grant and then up to 25th and then to my office.  We took it easy the first five miles.  Todd and I picked up the pace and dropped down to the 7-7:45 range most of the last 6 miles.

I ran 4.25 fairly easy miles on the treadmill.  Enjoyed the Jazz whoop up on the Hornets.

Ran with Todd.  We did the Peak Performance to Burch Creek loop.  A good run with the first four slightly down and the last three up.  Had some miles in the 7:40 range and some in the 9 range on the way up.

Ran with Mike D. and Ben.  We left Peak Performance and ran Combe backwards.  Then made our way through Shadow Valley over to Weber State, past Mt. Ogden and then down to the mouth of the canyon.  Took the Ogden River parkway down to Washington and then up to my office. After a rough first two miles I  had a good run.  Legs felt good the whole way.

After Saturday's long run and skiing all day yesterday me legs were sore today.  I did an easy 5.25 on the treadmill.  Hopefully in another week I'll be back on the road full time.

Ran with Todd from his house through S. Ogden, past Friendship, the armory and into the Terrace.  Went down past Bonneville and then crossed Washington at Hilltop.  Went to Adams, down to 42nd, up to Monroe, to Glasmann, ran Glasmann and back to Todds.  Had a 7:59 pace for the run.  The first 3.5 was down hill or flat.  The way back was almost all uphill, some it pretty steep.  This was the best run I've had since Tucson.

Ran the Striders 5k.  Met up with Ben, Todd and Shane at Peak Performance.  We ran up to the Dee Events center.  From there ran the 5k.  We started at the back of the pack because I didn't want to go out too fast and didn't plan on really pushing it too hard.  It took a while to thin out.  At .25 I was doing a 15 minute pace.  I finally got some room to run and picked up the pace along Old Post Road.  First mile was 7:55.  Hit Wasatch and the hills.  Slowed down considerably.  Second mile was 7:57.  Third mile ran a 7:02. I didn't hate this race as much as I expected.  The course is only a couple of miles from my house and I run these roads all the time so I was well aware of the early hills.  My only regret was that I started towards the back of the pack. That cost me at least thirty seconds.   After the race, Todd, Ben and I ran past Mt. Ogden Park, down to 20th and then past El Monte to the mouth of the canyon.  Got on the Ogden river parkway and ran the last three miles of the Ogden Marathon and ended at my office.  Total miles for the day was 15.

Ran tonight with Todd.  We left my house and ran down Adams to 41st up to Monroe to Glasmann, up to the Catholic Church, crossed Washington and then down past Friendship, the armory, Bonneville and crossed Washington at Hilltop and back to my house.  First three miles was mostly up hill with the last 3.5 down.  Once we topped out stayed in the 7:35-45 range. Had a good run tonight.

Ran from my house with Todd.  We went up Jefferson to Burch Creek, crossed Washington at the armory, went to Ogden Regional and then across the top of the Terrace, down to 4800 past Bonneville, down to Hilltop and back home.  After we got the first mile out of the way, I stayed in the 7:45 to 8:15 range.  I wasn't having a good run and let Todd go. I don't know if it was the bad air, but I was having a hard time with my breathing.

Today was an interesting run.  I met up with Todd, Anthony and Mike G.  We drove up to Morgan To Kacie's house.  From there Kacie and Billy joined us and Kacies husband drove us up above East Canyon and we ran back to Kacies.  The wind was howling the first five miles. It was very difficult to run into it.  Once we got past the dam and started into the canyon we were sheltered from the wind.  We saw lots of deer.  The number was in the hundreds.  One jumped up onto the road about fifteen feet in front of Todd, Billy and I. It about gave me a heart attack.. We also saw Moose, an eagle and wild turkeys.  Unfortunately there was a lot of road kill on the side of the road, including two porcupines and a deer that had been hit not long before we got to her because she was still squirming around. Unfortunately we didn't see the wild llama that roams these parts. Two weeks ago it made an appearance and went after Anthony.  See here for proof. http://www.kammeyeronline.com/photos/run/Winter%202008%20Running/slides/Morgan%20Running-003.html I went skiing that day so I missed it.  If it wasn't for the pictures I wouldn't have believed it myself.

The last three miles it started to rain really hard.  By the time we got back to Kacies I was drenched.  We kept up a pretty good pace all things considered.  Had an 8:38 pace for the run.  The run had a lot of rolling hills including two pretty steep uphill portions up above East Canyon.

Todd and I ran the Combe loop to Wasatch, crossed Harrison at Starbucks and then went down to Article Circle and back to Peak Performance. My right calf was sore. Ran the first 4 around 7:50, slowed down for the last 2. Had a 8:10 pace for the run.
