I ran with Todd and Shane.  We left Peak Performance and took Harrison to Old Post.  Went up to the Dee Events Center, then to the football stadium, up around to Skyline and then back to the Dee Events Center and back to Peak via Old Post and Harrison.  I stayed in the 7:45 range on the way out.  Slowed down considerably up Skyline and then down to around an 8 minute pace the rest of the way.  My shines were sore.  I've never had sore shins before, I'm assuming it's from all of the basketball last week.

I took a couple of days off due to a bad schedule and also wanting to let my legs rest a little bit.  I decided I better get out today and get the blood flowing before tomorrow.  I ran from my house down to my office.  I stayed right around a 9 minute pace.  My left shin is still extremely sore.  I'm a little concerned for the half tomorrow.  I'll load up on the vitamin I and hope it feels okay.

I ran the Striders half today.  I wanted to run this faster than I ran Moab and was hopeful I could break 1:35.  It wasn't in the cards today.  I probably went out a little fast the first five miles and paid for it the last five.  It was a good tune-up for Ogden to remind to respect the rolling hills after mile 7 and not go out too fast.  My miles were as follows:

1. 7:09

2. 6:58

3. 6:56

4. 7:10

5. 7:12

6. 7:31

7. 7:27

8. 7:40

9. 7:59

10. 8:07

11. 7:54

12. 8:08

13. 7:45

Went to a surprise B-Day party for Anthony at Peak.  Ran home from there.  I ate too much pizza and cake.  Not an enjoyable run.

I ran with Todd and Mike D.  We left Peak and ran down to Wash. Terrace and then crossed Washington at Hilltop.  Went down Adams to 41st, up to Monroe and then to Glasmann and back to Peak.  A good run with a lot of uphill the last three miles.

Ran with most of the usual suspects today. We started at the snowmobile parking lot up on Monte and ran down to the Chevron in Huntsville. It was a beautiful day. A little cold at the start. Still between four and five feet of snow up there. Nice downhill until Red Rocks at mile 9 where the Ogden Marathon starts. Followed that course most of the last 9. Ran a little faster than I intended. Had an 8:22 pace for the run. Felt surprisingly strong the last two miles. Hopefully that's a sign of good things to come for Ogden.

Ran on the treadmill.  My quad's are real sore after Sunday's run.  Took it easy.

I wasn't real excited to run this, but I got comped so I thought "what the heck."  I liked the course a lot better than I expected and under the right circumstances I think I could have run a muchfaster time.  I didn't have any expectations for this time wise.  I was using it as a training run for Ogden sandwiched in between an 18 and 20 miler.  I decided to push the pace early and see how it went.  I felt pretty good the first 6 miles.  My left hip started hurting during mile 7.  It got progressively sorer until mile 10 where I decided to back off the pace.  The miles are as follows.

1. 7:16--I was surprised it was this mile.  I wasn't real close to the front and spent the first half mile getting around people who should really start towards the back of the pack.

2. 7:18

3. 7:36

4. 7:03

5. 7:10

6. 7:14

7. 7:14

8. 7:16

9. 7:44

10. 7:36

11. 8:00

12. 8:11

13. 7:43

.1-1:51-My Garmin shows .27 Which was a 7:15 pace.

I ran today in Washinton Terrace while my son practiced baseball.  I let Rohmer Park and ran up past Ogden Regional, then to Emerald Hills and back to Rohmer.  My legs were really sore the first mile.  I ran a 9:32 first mile.  They loosened up and I felt pretty good after I got the first mile out of the way.  I dropped the pace down between 8:20 and 8:40 the rest of the way.

I ran the Ogden River parkway.  I started at Washington, went down to the 21st pond, around the pond and back up the parkway to the park above Harrison, did the loop around the park and then back down to Washington.  Ran the first two miles in the nine minute range, then ran the rest between 7:45 and 8:15.  Had a great run, the legs felt good.

I was signed up for the Striders series but due to 3 soccer games, 2 baseball games, a volleyball tournament and a dance competition, there was no way I could make it to the 30k. Instead I ran an easy 5 at an 8:40 pace in Centerville while my son warmed up for his baseball game.

I ran with Todd, Mike D., and Shawn. We drove up to the top of Monte to the snowmobile parking lot and ran down to Huntsville. I felt great the first 11 miles, but wore out after that. Ran a 7:45 pace the first 10 miles, then a 8:30 to 9:00 the rest of the way.

3 easy miles on the treadmill while I watched the Jazz get worked by the Rockets.  Ugly game.  Good news is my hip felt fine.  Quads a little sore though.

I ran five miles while my daughter was at dance.  I left Gold's Gym in Ogden and ran the last two and half miles of the Ogden Marathon backwards and then back the way I came.  Running the river parkway got me excited for Ogden.  17 more days.
