Today was an interesting run.  I met up with Todd, Anthony and Mike G.  We drove up to Morgan To Kacie's house.  From there Kacie and Billy joined us and Kacies husband drove us up above East Canyon and we ran back to Kacies.  The wind was howling the first five miles. It was very difficult to run into it.  Once we got past the dam and started into the canyon we were sheltered from the wind.  We saw lots of deer.  The number was in the hundreds.  One jumped up onto the road about fifteen feet in front of Todd, Billy and I. It about gave me a heart attack.. We also saw Moose, an eagle and wild turkeys.  Unfortunately there was a lot of road kill on the side of the road, including two porcupines and a deer that had been hit not long before we got to her because she was still squirming around. Unfortunately we didn't see the wild llama that roams these parts. Two weeks ago it made an appearance and went after Anthony.  See here for proof. http://www.kammeyeronline.com/photos/run/Winter%202008%20Running/slides/Morgan%20Running-003.html I went skiing that day so I missed it.  If it wasn't for the pictures I wouldn't have believed it myself.

The last three miles it started to rain really hard.  By the time we got back to Kacies I was drenched.  We kept up a pretty good pace all things considered.  Had an 8:38 pace for the run.  The run had a lot of rolling hills including two pretty steep uphill portions up above East Canyon.

Dee, wild pictures, was one of the guys in the picture named Quintin? Good luck at the 10K on saturday. Sounds like a fun run, except the soaking part.

Stay Kool, not drenched, B of BS Rools out
